Our Story
isn't your typical company story.
When our founder Ling Jun went to the San Diego nightclub to see one of his favorite DJs, everything started to happen. His neon green "beater" sunglasses received an overwhelmingly positive response. Starting with good friends and good music all night long, they quickly upgraded to mature passion projects wearing sunglasses.
After months of research, people quickly discovered that the market needs mid-range eyewear options that have the same coolness factors as leading styles.
That revelation was the moment when MAXJULI was born.

Ling Jun Believing in his own efforts, driven by social media and the SDSU network, he started a grassroots effort to sell shadows from his backpack and double as a surf instructor at the same time. He used his background as a sponsoring athlete to develop Sunny with a dazzling style and adventurous spirit.
It is this determined attitude of self-determination and the joint efforts of a team of more than 35 people in this San Diego company that has established as one of the fastest growing sunglasses brands in the United States today.
